How to Set Up IPTV on Amazon Fire Stick (2026 Step-by-Step Guide)

A complete step-by-step guide to setting up IPTV on Amazon Fire Stick or Fire TV in under 5 minutes. Covers Downloader, sideloading, and OOUStream login.

Amazon Fire Stick is the most popular device for IPTV streaming — cheap, portable, and powerful enough for 4K. Setup takes under 5 minutes once you know the steps. This guide walks through everything from initial Fire Stick configuration to your first channel playing on screen.

What you’ll need

  • An Amazon Fire Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV Stick Lite
  • A Wi-Fi connection (wired ethernet recommended for 4K)
  • Your OOUStream credentials (sent to you via email after signing up)
  • About 5 minutes

Step 1: Enable apps from unknown sources

Fire Stick blocks sideloaded apps by default. You need to allow them:

  1. From the Fire Stick home screen, go to Settings
  2. Open My Fire TV (older devices: Device)
  3. Select Developer options
  4. Turn ON Apps from Unknown Sources
  5. Confirm by selecting Turn On

If you don’t see Developer options, go back to the My Fire TV menu, scroll to About, and click on the device name 7 times. Developer options will then appear in the previous menu.

Step 2: Install the Downloader app

Downloader is the standard tool for sideloading apps onto Fire Stick. It’s free and available in the Amazon Appstore.

  1. From the Fire Stick home screen, press the search icon (top-left)
  2. Type Downloader
  3. Select the orange Downloader app icon
  4. Click Get or Download
  5. Open the app once it finishes installing
  6. Accept any permissions it requests

Step 3: Download the OOUStream app

Inside Downloader, enter the OOUStream download code:

  1. In Downloader, select the URL input field
  2. Type 7309199 and press Go
  3. Wait for the APK to download (about 30 seconds)
  4. When prompted, click Install
  5. Once installed, click Open

Downloader will offer to delete the installer file — say yes to save space.

Step 4: Sign in with your OOUStream credentials

After opening the app, you’ll be prompted to enter your login details. Your credentials look like:

  • Username: a short string like u_12345
  • Password: a longer alphanumeric string
  • Server URL: pre-filled in most cases

If you can’t find your credentials, log into the customer portal at your credentials page — every field is tap-to-copy, and OOUStream uses large monospace text with wide letter-spacing specifically so it’s easy to type on a Fire Stick remote.

Step 5: Start streaming

Once you’re signed in, you should see the channel list within seconds. Pick a category, scroll to a channel, and press select to start watching. The EPG (TV guide) shows what’s on now and next.

Troubleshooting

The app won’t install

Make sure Apps from Unknown Sources is enabled (Step 1). If you still see an error, reboot the Fire Stick: Settings → My Fire TV → Restart.

Channels won’t load or keep buffering

Test your internet speed at fast.com — you need at least 15 Mbps for HD and 50 Mbps for 4K. If speeds are fine, switch from Wi-Fi to a wired ethernet adapter for the most stable performance. Also try closing other apps in the background.

Login fails

Credentials are case-sensitive. The most common typo is confusing the number 0 with the letter O or the number 1 with the letter l. Open your credentials page on a phone and use the tap-to-copy buttons to be safe.
